This music video project was created for my Multimedia Applications class in 2022 when I was a junior (11th grade) in high school. The purpose of this assignment was to highlight the beginning activities of the school year for the eighth grade class at Lincoln Lutheran. I decided to make my video centered around the idea of friendship and having others to support you – which is a common theme in the eighth grade. I chose the song, “I’ll Be there For You” by the Remembrandts (also seen and heard as the 1994-2004 theme song for the show Friends). The music video took a fair chunk of time to complete, but I’m proud I was able to capture a lot of the smiles and try to coordinate the lyrics with some of the emotions displayed by the eighth graders in the videos. It was challenging to subtract or add a clip once you had progressed into the project, but it was worth it in the end i you felt as though it would be a better fit; from now on, I will make a clearer format of what I’m doing before I begin. In the future, I will make a clear outline immediately after watching footage and going from there – rather than trying to patch things together where I think it will work. Enjoy the video!
